How to Fix Sinking Pavers

Sinking pavers are usually caused by poor base preparation, inadequate compaction, or drainage issues. The good news: most problems can be fixed without redoing the entire patio.

Common causes:

  • Insufficient base depth (less than recommended 3–12 inches)

  • Poor compaction

  • Water pooling under the base

  • No edge restraint
