Warranty Policy – Direct Landscape Supply

At Direct Landscape Supply, we stand behind the quality of our products. This Warranty Policy explains the limited warranty terms for sod, materials, and products sold through DirectLandscapeSupply.ca or at our Calgary yard.

Please read this policy carefully to understand what is and isn’t covered, how to make a claim, and what your responsibilities are.


Products & Materials Warranty (Limited)

Because many landscaping products (including sod, soil, and stone) are natural, perishable, or cut-to-order, we offer limited warranties only in specific cases.

Important – No Implied Guarantees

By purchasing products from Direct Landscape Supply, you acknowledge that:

  • Natural products can vary in appearance, texture, and colour

  • Climate, installation practices, and site conditions affect performance

  • No warranty can guarantee results once products leave our yard or are installed


Sod Warranty (Limited)

New sod is a perishable, living product and must be installed immediately upon delivery.

We offer a limited warranty only in the following circumstances:

✔ Sod that is delivered but never installed and
✔ Sod that was stored improperly by us before delivery (rare/pre-delivery problem)

What is Covered

  • Sod that arrives visibly dead, brown, or damaged due to our delivery handling

  • Sod that never had the opportunity to be installed due to delivery error

What is NOT Covered

  • Sod damage due to improper installation

  • Sod that dies due to lack of watering or seasonal conditions

  • Brown or dry tips due to heat stress after delivery

  • Any installed sod (once placed on site)

To Submit a Sod Claim

  1. Take clear photos of the sod before installation

  2. Email photos and order details to:
    info@directlandscapesupply.ca

  3. Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery

Warranty claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.


🪨 Hardscape Materials & Accessories

Products such as patio stones, pavers, slabs, retaining wall blocks, edging, and accessories are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty, if any.

Direct Landscape Supply does not provide a separate warranty on:

  • Colour variation

  • Natural surface characteristics

  • Sizing variance

  • Weathering effects

Please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty for details on product coverage.


Bulk & Loose Materials

Bulk materials such as soil, gravel, sand, rock, and aggregates are sold as is.
No warranty is provided once bulk products leave our yard.

 

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To submit a claim for eligible products:

  1. Take clear photographic evidence before installation

  2. Document the date, time, and delivery condition

  3. Email info@directlandscapesupply.ca with:

    • Your name

    • Order number

    • Photos

    • Description of the issue

We will review and respond within 1–3 business days.


Important Notes

  • Claims submitted after installation will likely be denied, unless due to rare pre-delivery issues

  • Direct Landscape Supply reserves the right to inspect products before approving any warranty resolution

  • Warranty resolutions may include: replacement product, credit, or partial assistance based on review
