Professional Sod Delivery
At Direct Landscape Supply, we believe professional delivery is an important part of maintaining sod quality from the farm to your property.
Unlike some suppliers, we do not pile or dump sod during delivery. All DLS Select sod is professionally delivered on pallets to help reduce damage during transportation, maintain sod quality, and make installation easier once your order arrives.
Delivering sod on pallets helps:
- Reduce damage caused by stacking or dumping
- Keep sod rolls cleaner and easier to handle

Pallets
- Sod pallets deposit will be added at checkout where applicable.
- A $40 refund provided per pallet return

Delivery is calculated at checkout and available throughout Calgary, Chestermere, and surrounding Alberta communities.

Important Delivery Notes
- We recommend scheduling your sod delivery for the day before installation if you plan on starting first thing in the morning. This allows adequate time for harvesting, transportation, and delivery preparation.
- Orders should ideally be placed 1–3 business days in advance
- Large seasonal orders should be booked early to help ensure availability
- Delivery timing may vary depending on weather, harvest schedules, and seasonal demand

Important Sod Care Reminder
Sod is delivered fresh from the farms and is a perishable living product that should ideally be installed as soon as possible after delivery, especially during warm weather conditions.
In mild weather conditions, sod can generally remain on the pallet for approximately 48–72 hours depending on temperatures and weather conditions. However, earlier installation is always strongly recommended for best results, proper root establishment, and overall lawn health.
Watering Recommendations
Water should be applied immediately after the sod has been installed to help establish healthy root growth and help prevent shrinkage or discoloration.
Signs additional watering may be required include:
- Shrinking edges
- Gaps between rolls
- Dry spots
- Browning or discoloration
- Curling edges
New sod requires consistent daily watering until fully established.
