Calgary sod pickup is a convenient option for customers who have a suitable vehicle or trailer and want to collect their Kentucky Bluegrass sod directly. Ordering ahead helps ensure your sod is reserved and available when you arrive.
Sod inventory can sell out during peak season. We strongly recommend placing your order at least one day in advance whenever possible. Same-day pickup may be available depending on inventory.

Sod Pickup Hours
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM on select Saturdays
Pickup availability and hours can vary. Please follow the pickup instructions provided with your order.
Sod Roll Size & Coverage
Roll size: approximately 2 ft × 5 ft
Coverage: approximately 10 sq. ft. per roll
Recommended allowance: order approximately 5% extra for trimming, cuts and waste.
Sod orders are placed in 10 sq. ft. increments. Measure your lawn area before ordering and include additional material for cuts and irregular areas.
Fresh Sod Harvested for Your Order
Sod is a living, perishable product. Our Kentucky Bluegrass sod is sourced from trusted growers and harvested for customer orders to minimize the amount of time it spends sitting before installation.
Orders should ideally be placed 1–3 business days ahead during peak season. When possible, orders placed by 2:00 PM the previous business day provide additional time for harvesting, transportation and order preparation.
Sod Pallets & Returns
Larger sod orders may be prepared on pallets for easier loading, transportation and handling. Applicable pallet deposits are calculated at checkout.
Customers receive a $40 refund per eligible pallet when returned in accordance with our pallet return program.

Important Sod Pickup Information
Sod must be collected on the scheduled pickup date. Because sod is harvested and reserved for customer orders, missed pickups and no-show orders may not be eligible for a refund.
Make sure your vehicle or trailer has sufficient payload capacity for your order. Fresh sod is heavy, particularly when moisture levels are high. Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle and trailer are suitable for the quantity being collected.
Installing Your Fresh Sod
Plan to install your sod as soon as possible after pickup, especially during warm weather. Prepare the soil and installation area before collecting your order so installation can begin promptly.
New Sod Watering
- Water immediately after installation
- Maintain consistent moisture while roots establish
- Monitor moisture closely during hot or windy weather
- Watch for shrinking edges, gaps, dryness or discoloration
